RAVE AND RANT....

So here i am thinking out loud, What happened to my 'Ruby Woo' lipstick? My sister just returned home and she gave me a new lipstick. Yeah she knows how much I love makeup yeah so she stopped by at the M.A.C stand at terminal 5 to buy me this new rave. I hardly wear Red lip coloured lipsticks, i'm more of a pink flavoured girl but i've heard so much about this Retro Matte Lipstick by M.A,C called Ruby Woo. As excited as I was to get down to using it, I was also nervous because i like the glossy feeling of lipgloss, matte lipsticks feel really dry. I was out this weekend and of course I thought this should be the perfect opportunity to wear my new addiction, which I did, 'Big Mistake'. Unknown to lil ol' me that would be my last night with my new gift. I sat in the front row at this fashion event and i was thirsty. I decided to put my Louis Vuitton purse down and proceeded to the bar,'wrong move'. I got myself a glass of champagne and strawberries, how I love it and when I returned to my seat i decided to powder my nose. With excitement i opened my purse and to my utmost surprise my lipstick was gone. My first thought was did it roll out? But i had it inside my purse, a slim eye liner that I had was still there so it seemed unlikely it fell out. I had some money in my purse and it was untouched and some other makeup items so chances are nothing was stolen. So what happened to my Ruby Woo? Is it that hot? Of course Toke, you should have known better. LOL... I took to twitter to rant about my stolen lipstick and yet again i was gobsmacked. A lot of ladies wrote me back sharing their different experiences which was very similar to mine. so my question is: is there a Ruby Woo thief we should look out for? do we simply use at home and not carry with us? still pondering

Everyday MakeUp......

Ok ladies you might want to digest this, I will be sharing tips that i have acquired along the way to help, Educate, Inspire etc. On this Blog, i aim to please and i also want to learn more! ok lets go, when it comes to wearing MakeUp, i am a firm believer that less is more well depending on the occasion actually so for this article let us examine your "Everyday makeup" I mean when going to work, heading to a meeting, or just moving around in the week . I love Makeup, i think it enhances the beauty of a woman and even though many guys say they love their women without, I think they go out there and still admire a woman who is well groomed and to be honest, It is that little extra icing on the cake.
You don't need much as i stated above, the first item of make up should be your Concealer/Foundation (optional) if you have a flawless skin like me, you can do without

The secret to Applying Concealer/Foundation is to keep It light. You have to remember the Climate condition and apply some on the areas you want to cover. You should also get a Concealer/Foundation one shade darker than your skin so that it blends properly.

The next up on your list should be your powder and like I said with the Concealer nothing to heavy. Ladies remember this is makeup for the weekdays and we want to look as natural as possible. You should also make sure the powder is your skin shade so it sits well on the already applied concealer to give you a perfect finish

After the application of your powder you can add some colour to your face with the help of a blusher. This is to highlight your Cheekbones and as I said to add some colour to your face. There is nothing as tacky as blusher not applied properly. Please invest in a solid blusher brush and stroke the cheekbones lightly. It is not a contest for who looks like a circus freak, it is to slightly add some colour while you still look natural. If you don't have visible high cheekbones like me you can suck in your cheeks as you apply the blusher. I cannot stress the importance of purchasing the appropriate shade for you. Please ask and try on as many till you find the colours that work perfectly for you.

It is essential to invest in a good eyeliner. Either liquid or pencil. You can apply this to highlight you eyes. Instantly you spot the difference. Your Eyes Pop and say HEY!!

When You are done with lining your eyes, you can play around with a natural lip colour. since it is light makeup I usually advice against lipstick because the gloss has a way of making your lips look less serious I'm not insane lol maybe it is in my head, but i find that when i wear glosses i feel less made-up

Last item you need to give your quick Makeup Weekday Look  a boost is a Fabush Mascara. Fabush means Fabulous Btw thanks to Perez Hilton... Brush up your eye lashes nicely and there you have it. I promise if you do all that I have written you would have yourself looking Amazing all day, all week long
