What a night! US First Lady Michelle Obama, beamed direct from the White House as she presented the nominees for Best Picture, and Ben Affleck was announced as the winner.
So excited for him, he delivered such an emotional acceptance speech, making this years Oscars the best ever. Thanking his wife, he said; "I will like to thank you for working on our marriage for the last 10 christmases" the actor/director's redemption by Hollywood is complete, with his film "Argo" winning best picture.
He reflected on his roller coaster ride back to screen success, since his first Oscar win, in 1998 for writing 'Good Will Hunting' with Matt Damon.....
"What I learned was it doesn't matter if you get knocked down in life, what matters is that you've got to get back up" - Ben Affleck.
Affleck, who was famously left off Oscar's Best Director list of nominees did not mention the snub, he had only kind words to say about his film's competitors "It's hard, but you can't hold grudges" he said.
Go into this week and free your mind from all negativity, setbacks, disappointments and loss. Focus on your journey and pray for the grace to breakthrough in all you do....
